British Columbia Mainland Cricket League (BCMCL) - Data Privacy StatementThe BCMCL is concerned with the privacy of its members, however a certain amount of personal data is required in order to perform our functions. This statement outlines the data needed, its use by the BCMCL, and your security. Transfer of Data The BCMCL may transfer data to Cricket BC or the Canadian Cricket Association for the purposes of provincial and national cricket matters only. For example, we may provide a list of all players who are currently under 19 years old to Cricket BC to assist them in selecting an under-19 squad. The data transferred will contain only the necessary information, which would be name and date of birth in our example. The BCMCL may also transfer data to the park boards or the gaming commission, as it is common for them to request data. Again, the data transferred will only include the information required by these bodies. Required Personal Data and Its Use
All personal data will be used by the BCMCL for league and cricket matters only. In no way will data be sold or used for advertising purposes. Personal Data and bcmcl.ca (CricketStar) Much of the above personal data is required on our registration form for insurance purposes, however this data must be added to bcmcl.ca (CricketStar) by the clubs. If the above personal data is not entered then there may be several consequences. For example, a junior player may not be identified for selection, a player may not receive an important league notice, and a club may not receive a junior player rebate. The personal data stored in bcmcl.ca (CricketStar) is password protected and stored on a server in Mississauga, Ontario. FP Consulting Inc. is the company that developed CricketStar. The BCMCL has a thorough contract with FP Consulting, which states that the data is owned solely by the BCMCL. |
