2010-08-31 Traffic to Stanley Park on 6th Sep - Six-A-Side Access
On Monday, September 6 the annual Vancouver Triathlon will take place within Stanley Park. It is expected that approximately 600 athletes will participate in this annual event, which starts at 7am. The bicycle portion of the race is around Stanley Park on Park Drive, vehicle access to Stanley Park will not be permitted between 6:30am and 10am.
it is highly recommended staff and athletes to park elsewhere that morning and walk in. Any vehicles coming in via the Georgia entrance (there is no access off of Beach Ave, nor any of the other access points).
We will not be guaranteed a swift entrance as our cyclists will be on the course from 7-10am. Peak times will be 7:30am-9:30am. When entering the park via the W. Georgia entrance - they will then be directed to go up Pipeline and park in one of the adjacent lots. DO NOT use any of the other park roadways during this time.
We'll do our best to ensure police are notified & allow your staff & athletes through when space permits between 7-7:45am. Between 7:45am-9:45am, police and staff will not allow any traffic to flow through the area. Park entrances will be open by 10am.
So BCMCL Inter-Continental Six A Side Tournament, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation have created a pass for BCMCL players to use between 7:00AM & 7:45AM September 6th. The police have been made aware that this pass will allow us access into the park to the designated areas between these times.
After 7:45AM, there will be absolutely no vehicular access granted in to the park until 10:00 am. For safety reasons there can be no exceptions made. Teams who have games before 10 am must arrive at ground before 7:45 to avoid any problems with traffic. For those planning to use this pass, please allow extra time as Stanley Park Drive may be congested.
All teams must be ready to play at their schedule time with at least 6 players, Teams not ready to play will forfeit their game.

2010-07-09 Ground Discipline
The BCMCL Management Committee want to make a strong appeal to all clubs regarding ground discipline. If it is your home ground please treat it as your own home and if you are a guest team then treat it as you will treat some body's home if you were a visitor. If we receive any complain regarding garbage and we find a team responsible with proof that team will go through very severe disciplinary hearing and possibly lose points. If reported by officials or public, the management committee will assess penalties to Clubs whose teams do not put equipment away or do not pick up garbage after a match. [More]

2010-04-22 Use Of Parks
Use of Parks..The Parks Board is committed to providing the cricketers of Lower Mainland with quality park and recreational opportunities in a safe, healthy and enjoyable environment. To fulfill this commitment they have instilled a lot of faith in the British Columbia Mainland Cricket League who have further given this ground to its responsible members. The Code simply requires that members of the BCMCL must conduct themselves in a rational and reasonable manner, in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Park Board of each municipality. We play cricket that is quite rightly called a gentleman's game and we should be very careful in maintaining the trust that the Parks board of different municipality has kept with the BCMCL for almost 100 years.
